The torrent Massera flows slowly through the property, a footpath winds alongside the river permitting one to walk in the freshness of the woods. Here there are also picnic areas. A natural dam has created a small basin with a little characteristic waterfall where in certain periods of the year one can go swimming. It only takes 25 minutes, from the village, to reach Marina di Castagneto, Cecina and other towns along the Etruscan coast. Apart from the magnificent naturalistic oasis of Bolgheri and the beautiful coastal pinewoods of Cecina and Donoratico, this part of the Tuscany coastline also embraces: the wooded hillsides of Bibbona, Bolgheri and Monte Calve where the Mediterranean vegetation alternates with the beautiful chestnut trees.
